Meet founder, Lou

I’m Lou, the heart behind Alma Breath. My passion is helping others unlock the transformative potential of their breath. My journey into Breathwork began in lockdown, isolated in Brazil, through Pilates Diaphragmatic Breathing and Wim Hof. On a journey of self discovery I became fascinated on how it melted away my stress and improved my immune system. The real game changer however was HypnoBreathwork®.

Fast forward a couple of years later, exactly three weeks before my 30th birthday, my Dad passed away. Grief washed over me and unfortunately I knew that feeling all too well. After the funeral, I signed up to three HypnoBreathwork® sessions as an act of self care, not fully knowing what to expect but open minded all the same. Little did I know at the time how pivotal this would become to deeply heal my heart.

PILATES made me realise the calming power of breath.

BREATHWORK transformed my health and soothed my stressed out, burnt out nervous system.

HYPNOBREATHWORK® for the first time ever, profoundly connected me with my worth and helped me grieve ten fold.

Within just three sessions I couldn’t believe the radical forgiveness, acceptance and clarity that it gave me. It helped me grieve ten fold. I learnt from deep personal experience the power of Breathwork to clear years of repressed emotion enabling me to restore my sense of joy and peace. I saw it positively aliven and charge my relationships. I noticed how it soothed stress and anxiety and allowed me to map out a peaceful and exciting future. Without having to talk it out for hours (I did enough overthinking during that time to last a life time). It got me out of my head and into my body - where healing has a chance to integrate.

It felt like the weight of the world lifted. I had a completely renewed lease of life.

So much shifted for me in just three HypnoBreathwork® sessions and has since become a guiding light in my life - a powerful tool for healing growth and deep self-discovery.

As a trauma informed, certified HypnoBreathwork® facilitator, Pilates Teacher and formative Health Coach for the NHS. I continue to see this work positively impact those who are drawn to it.

It is my mission to bring a holistic blend of nourishing and harmonising wellness experiences that soulfully restore and uplift our alma (soul).
